Education Topics for our monthly Stated Meetings

January:
What Induced You?
A group discussion on what helped shape your decision to join the Masonic fraternity.

February:
The Masonic Apron
A discussion on the origin and importance of our beloved Masonic badge.

March:
Lodge Etiquette
The basics on how a Masonic Lodge is laid out and some of the basic symbology explained.

April:
What is the Eastern Star?
The Eastern Star members will be present in full regalia to explain what the Order of Eastern Star organization is all about. We will have the ladies of Eastern Star with us.

May:
What is the Scottish Rite?
The Scottish Rite members will be present in full regalia to explain what the Scottish Rite organization is all about. All Scottish Rite members are encouraged to attend in appropriate regalia.

June:
What is the York Rite?
The York Rite members will be present in full regalia to explain what the York Rite organization is all about. All Knight Templar, Royal Arch and Cryptic Council members are encouraged to attend in appropriate regalia.

July:
Who are the Shriners?
The Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine members will be present in full regalia to explain what the Shriners organization is all about. All Shrine members are encouraged to attend in appropriate regalia.

August:
The Masonic Altar
Why do we gather around an altar? We will discuss the Great Lights, lessor lights and working tools associated with the Masonic Altar.

September:
The Lewis
A discussion and presentation of an unusual Masonic working tool. The Lewis. There will be a full size working version of the Lewis and we will see a demonstration of how this ingenious tool operates.

October:
The Letter G
A discussion of the importance of the letter G and why it is found in every Masonic Lodge.

November:
King Solomon's Temple
An in depth discussion about the materials comprising the original Temple with measurements and building techniques. An informative booklet will be provided to all who attend.

December:
The Cabletow
Why do we use a cabletow? We will discuss the origins and importance of this often overlooked piece of Masonic regalia.
